Creativity comes in many forms, not only artistic expression but supporting roles like editing, music production, songwriting, promoting, and the list goes on, especially in our digital age. Let us know what you can bring to the table, and we will find a role for you. If you don't think you have anything to offer, let us know your interests. We take all artistic media to sell in our gallery. From paints to leather craft, and custom-made motorcycle parts. Then there is our OUTLAW LITERATURE where we accept all forms of the written word: Novels, Memoirs, Poetry, Essays. We can copy your book of poetry right off the notebook you wrote it in in your own hand, unedited and unfiltered, raw, UNAPOLOGETIC, the way you wrote it. We want to publish novels this way, especially Urban Fiction, to create something new that the old guard publishing houses will hate. We need all we can get. Do you think you would make a great agent? Then be one. Are you well-versed in English grammar? You could be an editor. Bilingual people can interpret. Want to be a fashion designer or graphic artist? You can be. If you know a skill or a craft, you can lead our online courses. We pool our resources and network together, nothing is stopping us from making our dreams come true, and the satisfaction of helping others do the same
The Art of Change
This is where our journey begins. Get to know our business and what we do at DEGENERATE NATION and offshoots CELLBLOCK 9 ARTISTRY and CELLBLOCK 9 PUBLISHING. We want to help current prisoners and parolees and other underserved members of society make a living using their creative talents or at least supplement it by giving them a side hustle. Inmates and parolees, and psych ward patients ECT. can submit their art to us to sell on consignment in our online gallery and exhibitions we hold periodically. The split is 60% goes to the artist and 25% goes into payroll for the members we have on staff. the remaining 15% goes into building up the Nation through marketing and upgrading our equipment.
It is a well known fact that if you can make a living doing something you love and enjoy it is a lot less like work. You have a purpose and something to take pride in and build up on. Prisoners finding a career they love are less likely to return to crime when they have a full filling career using their creativity.

We will not silence your voice or change the flow of your writing often done by mainstream publishing houses. We get it the voice and lingo of the streets must shine through because it is a part of your story.
We are seeking submissions for novels of all genres and shorter novellas to be part of compilations with other authors. non fiction memoirs and how to books, graphic novels, and comic books, children's books, books on lifestyle and anything you can conjure up on paper.
Authors will receive 60% of the profits and may allocate a certain percentage of profits for advertising and marketing. Authors may purchase bulk orders of their work at a discount to sell at book readings/signings. Authors can design their book covers or have our in-house artists do it. Books are print on demand in paperback, hardcover, and E Book format and available through Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing, our Website, Lulu, Etsy, Shopify, AliBaba, ECT.
