Being Degenerate

Having a place to belong means something, and having brothers and sisters there to have your back, celebrate your wins, and help you mourn your losses is priceless.  That was the main focus and my aim in starting the Degenerate Nation: to have a place to belong.  Being a felon makes you an outsider. All too often, when felons like me are shut out by mainstream society, we say "Fuck it!" and go back to doing what put us in prison in the first place.  By creating an organization, we now have access to each other's resources.  So if I am building a house, I don't have to go far to look for carpenters and painters; they are part of the organization I am a member of.

The Degenerate Nation and its branches are a place for the felon, the misfit, and the outlaw to fit in.  We are small now, but it is my hope that we will increase in size and many other branches sprout from here.  When people purchase something from us, they are more than just a consumer; they are an investor in change.  Degenerate Art was a term the Nazis applied to art they deemed harmful to society, like Expressionism, Dada, Surrealism, and Cubism.  We use that term in a slightly different way in that we are deemed as felons, misfits, and outlaws with no redeeming social value.  We say, "Fuck You!" to that.  We wear our DEGENERATE label with pride, we are all races, and religions, and spiritual mindsets, and political leanings united in our creativity and purpose of having a platform to present that creativity and profit from it.  Having a talent is great, but not being able to use that talent is a travesty.  You do not have to be an artist in the sense that you draw, paint, sculpt, or any other traditional ideas of what an artist is.  Content Creators are artists, web designers, and so forth.  So are carpenters, masons, and the like.  All of these artists need people to bring their work to market.  Salespeople, editors, and advertisers.  Your skills as a criminal translate into real-world experience with a creative edge unmatched in today's workforce.

We have a place for you here. Just let us know where you want to fit in.  If you dream of being a tattoo artist, you can be one.  Want to be a sales manager? You can be that, too.  You will have to work for it here; there are no free rides.  How bad do you want it?  I have dedicated my time and energy because I believe we can be something amazing.
